Epic Fail

I'm a total slacker! I started this with good intentions and look at me now - over 2 months with nothing.

Well lets put that right now shall we!

So since the last time I was here not much has changed - new people have started at work which has changed the balence and we now have in my opinion at least a much nicer office.

Wedding plans are coming along slowly - really though who would have thought it would be so hard to match colours up - it has taken me over two months to get the right colour bows and favour bags - totally insane. I always say I am missing the bride gene because this stuff is driving me nuts - not making me want to jump up and down with excitment!

I've also been busy writing for Den of Geek - having finished look backs at the work of John Hughes and Kevin Smith I am now onto Tim Burton. I've also done a couple of Lazy Geek's Guide's to and a few reviews - it is surprising how difficult it can be sometimes to express yourself with just a keyboard and word - maybe that's one of the reasons I am so slack on here, but sometimes I can sit and think of the exact right word to use for ages and then it is something so simple you feel like doing a *face - palm* to yourself.

The good news is people read what you do and I now have a little group of readers who leave comments and are generally very nice - there is the odd arse who thinks it is great to rip you down but you have to let it go over your head, after all you offended them so much they had to make a comment about it - power balence restored.

Even better news is when somebody your writing about reads what your writing - which is surreal but very flattering. Case in point (which I still cannot believe happened) DOG got an interview with Mr. Kevin Smith himself and as soon as the interviewer mentioned the site he knew all about it (he even tweeted about it once which was also mind bending) and as a thank you he sent me a personalised copy of his new book. As gifts go it was pretty amazing and makes me think I'm not doing such a bad job.

First Post

Ahhhh - Finally managed to open up a useful blog page, wonders of modern technology eh? I won't bore you too much with my life details but I'm 27, live in London, currently work as an Office Manager but do some side work as a writer for the fantastic Den of Geek (www.denofgeek.com) where they let me muse about my favourite films, esp the late great John Hughes and Kevin Smith.

I am getting married next year, more of which I am sure you will hear about as the time gets closer and I get more stressed out but it is pretty much an exciting time.

I use ! marks a lot, please don't hold it against me.
